Emily is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapy, an E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Teacher, a graduate of the Northeastern School of Botanical Medicine, and holds a degree in Natural Science from the University of Texas in Austin. She has been leading various 200 hour and 500 hour Teacher Training programs since 2015 and teaching Yoga since 2006. She enjoys working with students at any level of experience.
Emily strives to empower her students to learn skills to deepen their practice. These Yogic tools not only include the postures of Yoga, but also the breathing techniques, meditation, mantra, and traditional aspects of the teachings.
Emily is on ongoing student of Chase Bossart of the Krishnamacharya tradition and studies traditional Vedic chanting with Pam Hightower. Emily studies Ayurvedic life style choices under the guidance of Ayurvedic Practitioner Elizabeth Cunningham Bossart.
Her classes are rooted in present experience and discussion. Come prepared for laughter, ritual, grounding, expression, nourishment, and community!
